Experian Hitwise is reporting that Facebook hit a big milestone and passed Google to become the most-visited U.S. Web site during the week that ended March 13. The research firm said Facebook’s share of visits grew 185 percent last week compared with the same period in 2009.

I’m at Mix10 in Las Vegas where Microsoft has been showing off the latest preview of IE9 – you can try it here , provided you have Vista SP2, Windows 2008 or Windows 7. The two themes are performance, with GPU-accelerated HTML and graphics and a new Javascript engine that compiles code in the background, and standards support. This latter was not a surprise to me, as I’d heard the well-informed Molly Holzschlag praise Microsoft’s commitment to HTML5 at a workshop here on Sunday – see this earlier post

Could not make it for this event as it is held during office hours, but nevertheless, I want to see how LTE can take mobile network to the next level. With the increasing number of smartphone users in the market, the demand for faster bandwidth and speed for mobile data transfer have also increased. I hope they do eventually trial the LTE in the MRT as I can’t even get a proper 3G signal in the MRT (blue and red line).
