You know you can’t obtain an iPad for least three months, but you may not know that the reason you can’t even buy one in advance is because Apple has not yet obtained the necessary Federal Communications Commission approval to unleash it on the nation’s airwaves it protects. The recession has had massive global repercussions, from a significant downturn in consumer spending, through irritating alliterative media inventions (credit crunch!!) right down to morale levels. I for one considered selling a kidney to free up some extra cash. Fortunately the recession hasn’t hit LG’s product line as they continue full steam ahead with some great 2010 innovations

Will’s HTPC

Here are pics of a HTPC (Home Theater PC) we built for someone in 2009. The case was black to match the rest of the customer’s stuff (cable box, blueray, DVD players, tuners, etc). We used a slim case- it almost looks like a VCR or DVD player! The case we used has nice ventilation on the top and a fan on the side to remove heat floating around the case

Apple iPad: Father of Microsoft "Origami" slate PC weighs in (updated with video)

The launch of Apple’s iPad is bittersweet for Otto Berkes , a Microsoft manager who led the company’s earlier effort to develop a handheld, wireless, touchscreen slate computer. Microsoft’s “Origami” project surfaced in 2006 and gave early definition of a new category of devices between phones and laptop computers. It led to the Ultra-Mobile PC category that never caught on after early models were priced over $1,000 and the device was caught in the Windows Vista turbulence.

Samsung SyncMaster LD220 review

The 21.5-inch, 1080p SyncMaster LD220 can be used either in conjunction with a laptop or as a stand-alone monitor. It doesn’t offer many configuration options and it’s not a great choice if you’re a gamer, but its sleek design and USB connectivity make it a decent option for more general use
