Fujitsu has launched LifeBook A3130 15.4-inch desktop replacement laptop PC, based on AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology. Along with dual core Turion TL-60 processor at 2GHz and the integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics, Fujitsu LifeBook A3130 features 2GB of DDR2 system memory, expandable up to 4GB, and a 120GB SATA hard drive with 5400rpm rotational speed. Gateway Announced M, T Series Multimedia Notebooks

Gateway today announced the 15.4-inch Gateway M-Series and 14.1-inch Gateway T-Series multimedia notebook PCs, both featuring Intel Centrino Mobile Technology with Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the new industrial design with Crimson Red, Pacific Blue or Slate Grey colors. “Several standard and optional features available on notebooks purchased through Gateway’s direct channel build on the notebooks’ vast capabilities, such as 1080p-capable display, an integrated fingerprint reader and a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) for digital video and audio out,” the PC maker’s press release says.

Beta Version of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Coming Next Week

Microsoft will release the Beta 1 version of the Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista operating system next week, while the final version will be delivered most likely in November 2007, according to Mary Jo Foley’s Blog. “Microsoft is expected to emphasize that SP1 is more about fixes than new features. O2 Xda Atom Life, A HSDPA Pocket PC [4]

O2 released its first 3.5G Pocket PC in HK on the last day of February. The new Xda Atom Life basically looks pretty much the same as its predecessor, the Xda Atom: a black body with simple and clean outline, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a media player navigation panel along with the basic Pocket PC buttons, and a pair of shortcut bottons on the lower right side of the phone’s body. In addition, it has a 0.3-megapixel supplementary camera for video conferencing purpose.

Sony Ericsson Announced Two New Cyber-shot Phones [4]

Sony Ericsson today announced two new Cyber-shot phones, the K810 and the K550. The K810 basically share the same features as the K800, it comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, Cyber-shot Xenon flash with red eye reduction, 17mm thin 2.0” QVGA 262k TFT display, M2 slot with 128MB M2 in-box, 64MB user free memory, and other similar functions.

Teacher Fluency with IT for ACTIVE Learning

I’ve been developing the outline of a Trainer’s Training Course that combines Fluency with IT (using Lawrence Snyder ’s 2nd Edition , and the BeneFIT site at UWash) with constructivist approaches to Educational Technology (using Grabe & Grabe, I only have the 2nd Edition, a 4th Edition is out), both adapted to the local situation in Cebu. Actually, it will only cover half of Snyder’s book on FIT, up to spreadsheets and security. I am dividing it into four modules, I’ll post details later when they are more stable
