Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX review
The travel-friendly Anywhere Mouse MX may be relatively expensive, but it’s unquestionably versatile and convenient. Its Darkfield laser sensor means it works on almost any surface, and its Unifying technology lets you connect up to six compatible Logitech keyboards and mice to the same USB transceiver
These are an extension to the already huge range of smaller computers being released by HP, they offer the consumer a deal of choice with specs and of course price as this also matters to the consumer these days. You have the HP Mini 2101 and the 210, they have the popular rubberised covering on the lid which is easy grip etc and a chicklet style keyboard. Prices appear to start at around $329 which is a nice price.
Joe Wilcox has a good post about Microsoft’s decade of shattered dreams . These are all things in which the company invested, but did not get right: eBooks, HailStorm web services, digital music, Origami small computing devices. The list is longer than that of course.
There are many reason as to why someone would want to use a secret camcorder, security, work or maybe they just watch too much “Burn Notice” whatever the reason surely hidden camcorders are government issue only! Not any more as the great thing about technology, is that it always filters down to street level eventually and this watch with hidden camcorder, is just one those products that can be picked for just under $150, but is capable of recording twelve hours worth of high quality video through a lens that is the size of a pin hole. Features – The watch’s 1.3 MP camera records video at 640 x 480 resolutions, storing up to 12 hours of AVI-formatted video onto its built-in 4 GB flash memory. The microphone is located on the outer case.

“Ding Dong Ding Dong” (George Harrison acoustic rock cover song) – The Laptop Sessions: Jim Fusco’s 200th Video!
By Jim Fusco: And a Happy New Year to you- I’m Jim Fusco back for another year of the Laptop Sessions. I’m also back with Number 200! That’s right, tonight’s video is my 200th and it kicks off a brand new year of great acoustic cover song music videos here on the most popular music blog that isn’t corporately-owned…well, I can’t substantiate that claim… Anyway, I figured I’d kick the New Year and new decade off right with a New Year’s song in “Ding Dong Ding Dong”, a hit single off of George Harrison’s Dark Horse album. If you’ve heard the original version of this song, you probably wondered why George’s voice sounded so raw and raspy. No, he wasn’t taking vocal cues from his pal (and future Traveling Wilburys member) Bob Dylan. He was actually suffering from a terrible break-up when his wife ran off with his best friend, Eric Clapton. It forced the two friends to not speak for a long time (yes, significant others can change people and break friends apart, that’s for sure), but eventually they reconciled…once she and Eric broke up, too! That’s a fairytale friendship story if I ever heard one. The title track from Dark Horse also features George’s gravelly vocals and it’s actually a nice tool he uses well on these somewhat bitter songs. I mean, George was always one to write songs against the “establishment” (like “Taxman”, “Not Guilty”, and “Devil’s Radio”), but this time, it was a more personal fight. One can only think that “ringing out the old and bringing in the new” has to be correlated to his estranged wife leaving the picture
You’ll be able to watch more than “Avatar” and “Up” on the new 3D televisions being unveiled this week at CES. TV networks are lining up to offer all sorts of 3D content later this year, including ESPN. Disney’s sports network is going to launch “ESPN 3D” in June and broadcast at least 85 sporting events in 3D in the first year, according to this USAToday report.
Google launches "superphone," Web store (updated w/ video)
During a press conference today at Google’s Mountain View, Calif., headquarters the company, as expected, unveiled the “Nexus One” — a Google-branded device it calls a “superphone.” The phone is based on the same software as the Motorola “Droid” phone sold by Verizon but has a few additional features, such as a mobile version of the Google Earth mapping service and more 3-D graphics. It’s the first of multiple premium phones that Google plans to sell directly by the search company through a new online storefront — Google.com/phone — which will also be a hub to activate the phones. Buyers will need to have a Google account, such as a Gmail e-mail account, to make a purchase
Previously the cost of mobile broadband in New Zealand was prohibitive, but now, thanks to the arrival of prepay, it has become more affordable and controllable. After months of deliberation, for the Christmas break, I finally hooked myself up. I looked into mobile broadband about two years ago, and I am sure the “vodems” were NZ$199 then and with the costs of contracts, you would have been looking at several hundred dollars upfront
