Asus to use Android in EeePad

At the moment, there is only one tablet towering above the rest, the Apple iPad, but that could be about to change when Asus launches the much awaited EeePad EP101TC early next year. The EeePad was seen at the Computex 2010 event but then it was clearly running Windows EC7, but something has changed the maker mind and now they are switching to providing the tablet running the Google OS Android. Asus are keeping this fairly quiet at the moment, probably because HP is preparing their version of the tablet running the webOS and due out early 2011! polymer lithium-ion battery technology (part 2)

2.3 solid polymer electrolytes ion conduction current in solids are often called solid electrolyte, which electrolyte comprises crystal, glass, three types of electrolyte and polymer electrolyte, which solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) has a light, easy to shoot, and viscoelastic good benefits, can be used for batteries, sensors, electrochromic displays and capacitors, etc.. The EPS for the lithium-ion battery can be easily removed the problem of leakage of electrolyte fluid, replace the battery in the membrane isolation, inhibiting the formation of dendrite surface of the electrode, which reduces the reactivity of the electrolyte and electrodes, the improvement of the specific energy of the battery, the battery has a resistance pressure shock resistance, low cost and ease of processing advantages.

Some thoughts on tablets in education

After the topic of tablet-style devices recently came up in discussions on Sugar Labs’ “It’s an education project” mailing-list as well as while talking to various people in Montevideo I felt like summing up my own thoughts on this topic. Like it or not, touch is here to stay The short version I think tablet-style devices could be quite well suited for use by primary-school children however I don’t think that the products currently available or foreseeable to be available within the next two or three years will be well suited for secondary-school use. The slightly longer version In my mind tablets are generally more suited for content consumption rather than content creation

The video camera pen

There are plenty of uses for a video camera hidden inside the top of a ball point pen, not all of them are legal but there are the occasions where getting something on video is totally priceless especially if it is something very funny or very serious.
