Quote: Attendees at Microsoft’s annual E3 press conference are accustomed to flashy game announcements and big-budget trailers, but the company had a surprise in store at today’s Los Angeles event. The Xbox 360 is getting a slimmer, angular new look, and an internal redesign that’ll reduce noise and add much-wanted new features — and it’ll be in stores as soon as this week. Did my usual cleaning of the CPU Fan on the heat sink and the one on the outer case. Before I had just blown them off. In this case, however, this time I removed the cooling fan from the heat sink, blew it clean and then wiped off the junk from the heat sink and the bottom of the cooling unit

I am having the same problem as poster “rudeawakenings” but I was unable to reply to that post (and since this is my first post, I’m not sure if that’s what I should have done) so I’m posting my own thread with the same title. I am running Windows XP SP2 Home Edition on a Dell Dimension 2400 PC. I have the AV Security Suite pop ups and I might have the Google redirect virus as well

Panasonic's VT20-series 3D TV, pre-game. While many of you were getting ready for work this morning, I, too, was preparing for my workday. But my guess is that for most of you, that didn't involve preparing a late breakfast, climbing back into bed, and turning on the TV.

And so here we are again. A recommendation from the Commission on what to do about mobile termination rates is looming and the Minister once again will have to make a call. Given the Minister sent back the last recommendation (not to regulate but to accept the Undertakings offered by Telecom and Vodafone) it seems likely the Commerce Commission will take the hint and call for regulation.

I spent almost a week in Shanghai recently, courtesy of Huawei , the Chinese telco and network giant. There was lots to see, not at least the Shanghai Expo 2010 , the well-preserved city itself and the public transport system that’s excellent with underground trains , buses and Volkswagen taxis. Depending on who you ask, there are between 19 to 22 million people in Shanghai and trust me, it’s a big place

Backstage Passes Was invited to a Sony Ericsson’s Backstage blogger session, it is my first time attending a Sony Ericsson event! We are introduce to the company (Sony) tag line which is “make.believe”. The “dot” in the “make.believe” is important because it separates “make believe” from “make” and “believe”.

It’s incredible but TelstraClear does it again. Looking at their status page I see this: But right now many sites such as Bing.com and Xero.com (both distributed through Akamai), plus Amazon AWS and others are unreachable through TelstraClear’s network

When playing GTA IV (especially TBoGT) i’m getting some serious texture problems (floating streets, textures on buildings flickering, headlights on cars flickering) I have the latest patch installed (1.6) and running the latest catalyst drivers (10.4) I have all the game settings maxed out (1920×1080 resolution), apart from shadows which is set to high opposed to very high (Vsync & Definition are both off) I’m getting solid frame rates, but the texture problems are ruining the experience
(I have D3DOverrider enabled also) I’ve searched google and many forums but most texture problems posted are dated prior to the 1.6 patch (this patch funnily enough claimed to have fixed the problems i am currently having…allegedly :sigh:) Can anyone help me fix this annoying problem?

I have installed Adobe 10 Flash Player about 6 times now, and I still cannot get any videos on websites like ESPN,imdb, etc to work. I click play and it shows just a blank black screen with no sound or anything. This only started happening to my computer a little while ago, and videos on youtube still work perfectly fine.

Press the power button the system fans spin, case lights up keyboard lit up, can feel hard drive spinning thats it, no power to monitor’s or mouse and no bios, Thought maybe power supply replaced with a 900 watt rocketfish, pulled all non essitential cards, went back to onboard video, reduced to 1 gig of RAM, tried a different cpu cooling fan, pulled CMOS battery and still same results power to fans, case light, HDD and thats it

About this time 9 years ago, I was sitting in a management meeting with my Director of Marketing, and we were reviewing the latest iteration of a truly dismal situation. The telco bubble had burst, 3G was a bust, and a huge internal project to install GPRS and MASSIVE ISP infrastructure had just gone through it’s 3rd rescoping. From the hubris of a fully connected world where everything ran off a PDA – a state the world only managed to get to in 2009 with the iPhone 3GS – came the realisation that the only proposition available was.
