i have 500 pounds to spend on a tv, i dont watch much tv but do a lot of gaming and films ive seen that curys are offering a 40 inch samsung for 480 pounds and ive also been looking at a panasonic plasma for 500 pounds which of these offers the best value for money, is it true that the plasma you are paying less than you would for an equivalent spec lcd and thus is the better choice im not fussed on how thin the tv is or how many inputs, just good build quality and decent picture for gaming and blurays (though can live without full hd

Hi All Im sure this could be in the wrong section as there are various questions to be answered, if so move it to where its relevent;) Ok PC to TV for film viewing, i have a DVI connection on my graphics card and a HDMI on my TV so thought a single cable with obvious connectors would do for this, my problem is the audio, after searching the internet the most common would be a single 3.5mm jack from my computer to a double RCA for the TV…BUT….on the back of my TV in the HDMI section, in fact right next to the HDMI socket is a single female 3.5mm socket with 2c audio written next to it, so do i go with the “standard” RCA or do you think this single jack socket is there for a reason and that is the right connection for my audio if using a HDMI lead? I’ve got a problem with this laptop, well its my brothers. I have a NETGEAR WGT624 v4 wireless router that im trying to connect the laptop too. Every-time I try to connect to it it asks for the WEP key (as i have (WPA2-PSK) security on the router) and after I input the correct key it says wrong key even though its the right key!!! It did with with Vista 64bit and now that ive updated it to Win 7 64bit its the same.

Wanted : COD: Modern Warfare (COD 4)

About 18 months ago I bought an Optoma HD65 which has had limited use but has always worked fine from a DVD connected via Svideo or component. However, I have just connected it up to an Onkyo 605 via HDMI and the picture quality is worse with a green line at the bottom of the picture and either green or pink banding lines running across the image depending on what is playing at the time. Is this likely to be a setup issue or is it connected to the HDMI problem which I read about in the early days of the 605/HD65’s?

I recently bought a new console and hard drive.I connected to LIVE and recovered my gamertag.All went fine.I switched over all my download licenses and re-downloaded everything which all went fine.I borrowed a memory unit off my friend to transfer over save data which apart from FORZA 3 all went fine.Until now.My gamer score on my gamer tag is 68047 but when i go into my dashboard and look at my achievement progress is has me down as 67272 which is a difference of 775.I added up all my individual scores and it came to 67272.775 GS missing from my progress page still.Logged onto xbox.com and their list of games i played is more up to date and it seems LIPS game progress of 775GS which i noticed on xbox.com is the missing info from my progress page.Why is this???

Hi I have 2 pairs of great sounding Tannoy F4’s which I really should leave well alone (one pair and the centre are still in their boxes) but I’m being told we should get something better looking So if I was to sell the Tannoy 5.0 set what should I go for? I would like floorstanders but have stands and am willing to go with some good looking and most importantly great sounding speakers We like the look of the MS 916 etc but they are no longer being sold B&W 6 series look good too but are out of our price range I have said we’re not going style speakers as they generally are not good with music I have around £500 max to spend and the speakers have to be great with music first Cheers in advance

I love the fact it is super thin and lightweight, feature packed and looks better than the Panasonic However I have it in the back of my mind that Plasma’s are generally better above 42″ and the Panasonic is a better TV and a better make of TV.
