We used a slim case- it almost looks like a VCR or DVD player! The case we used has nice ventilation on the top and a fan on the side to remove heat floating around the case

Mobile operator 3 ( three.co.uk ) has activated its 10,000th 3G site as part of plans to boost its mobile broadband network coverage and capacity across the UK. The 10,000th site as Shooters Hill in South East London forms part of the company’s network improvement programme that aims to have 13,000 3G sites in operation, which will provide mobile broadband coverage to nearly 93% of the UK population.

TalkTalk Wins Best Home Phone Provider Award

TalkTalk ( talktalk.co.uk ) has won the UK’s ‘Best Home Phone Provider’ award in the latest customer satisfaction survey conducted by Homephonechoices. The phone and broadband supplier won seven out of the ten categories including ease of understanding bills and clarity of pricing. Awards for quality of customer service were won by Sky, while niche supplier Primus Saver was voted best provider in the value for money category.

3 ( three.co.uk ) has upgraded its mobile broadband deals with the latest next generation Huawei E1750 dongle that’s capable of boosting download speeds to up to a maximum 7.2Mbps. From today, all of 3’s contract mobile broadband packages will include the E1750 dongle which will be supplied free of charge. The Huawei E1750 dongle provides a maximum download speed of up to 7.2Mbps compared to the maximum 3.6Mbps speeds offered by the ZTE MF627 dongle that it has replaced.

Sun-Oracle: Death by Bureaucracy

The combination of Sun and Oracle (Snorkel), is increasingly looking like the company that can never be. After it finally appeared to get through EU approvals , now Russia is threatening to block the merger ( China may follow ), due to their inability to distance themselves from MySQL, which has likely added billions to the cost of this merger and effectively taken billions from the value of the merged company. Here in California, where both companies are located and where we may shortly need snorkels to breathe, it was being reported ( mis-reported?
